About Us

This Jijamata Kala Mahavidyalaya was started 14 years ago by local farm community as they saw the need for a college in this underdeveloped area. The Institution Jijamata Kala Mahavidyalaya, Darwha District - Yavatmal began in 2001-02. There are more than 219 students studying in these institutions and provides education towards Bachelors Degree in Arts. The Society works as a sculptor to mould the child of one and quarter year old into the full grown up, cultured young person, able to face the world

Our institution Jijamata Kala Mahavidyalaya, Darwha Dist.Yavatmal is run by Navsanjivan Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Darwha Dist- Yavatmal. The founder President of the Parent Society Hon. Manikraoji G. Thakare (M.L.A) was the Ex- minister of state in the Home ministry & Power ministry of Maharashtra & Ex- president of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. He is currently a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Objectives & Goals

Along with the goals and objectives of our Parent Society the Navsanjivan Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Darwha, Dist- Yavatmal and Our College:

1. To create a conductive environment for making teaching and learning an enjoyable experience
2. To inculcate among them the traditional values unique to our great culture
3. To prepare the students to face the new challenges in life successfully
4. To hone their skills and to tap their latent potential to prepare them for various jobs in their future life
5. To make the optimum use of the infrastructural facilities for a meaningful exchange of knowledge
6. To create among the students a spirit of enterprise.
7. To create among the students awareness of their surrounding area, the state, the nation and the world.
8. To help the students evolve into conscientious citizens of India.
9. To encourage women education by admitting them to various subjects.
